(Portland, OR) -- Hazardous air conditions from wildfire smoke are leading to hospitalizations in Oregon. The Oregon Health Authority says about one in ten emergency room visits in the state are for asthma-like symptoms related to the smoke. Portland's air quality was still being ranked as the worst in the world yesterday. As of this morning, the EPA lists Portland's air quality as still being in the hazardous zone. Smoky conditions are expected to last at least through Thursday.
