(Portland, OR) -- The Oregon Health Authority reports new cases of COVID-19 in the state continues to decline. Health officials say there were nearly 13-hundred cases reported last week. That's down 12-percent from the week before. The number of positive tests increased from four-point-three-percent to five-point-six-percent. Health officials want the percentage of positive tests to be below five-percent. Officials say the number of Oregonians being tested declined 35-percent, likely due to the wildfires and the smoke. The Oregon Health Authority confirmed two new deaths from COVID-19 along with 195 new cases yesterday.
