Man Shoots Self In Groin In Grocery Store

(Lincoln City, OR)  --  A 29-year-old man is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the groin while showing off his concealed handgun at a grocery store in Lincoln City.  The Lincoln City Police Department says Nicholas Ellingford was in the checkout line at McKay's Market on U.S. 101 Sunday night when he pulled out his Glock 9mm to show a friend.  Police say he then accidentally pulled the trigger while putting the gun back into his pants.  Police say the bullet just narrowly missed Ellingford's femoral artery.  He was airlifted to a hospital in Portland.  Police say he did not have a concealed handgun license, and he could be facing charges.
