(Portland, OR)  --  The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners is extending the moratorium on evictions for renters through the end of the year.  The extension is aimed at helping people who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 layoffs.  Starting on January 8th, renters will have six months to pay any back rent.  Critics are concerned it's just delaying the inevitable and there will be a flood of evictions when people can't repay their back rent.
