Man Dies After Falling 100 Feet Off Cliff Into Ocean

(Tillamook, OR)  --  A 43-year-old Seaside man is dead after falling out of a tree and then plummeting about 100 feet off a cliff into the ocean.  Oregon State Troopers say Steven Gastelum was killed in the fall Sunday from the Devil's Cauldron Overlook Trail at Oswald West State Park.  Troopers say Gastelum had climbed a tree along the edge of the cliff to pose for a picture when a tree limb broke, sending him tumbling into the ocean.  First responders used a helicopter and personal watercrafts to locate Gastelum and bring him to shore.  He was rushed to a hospital in Tillamook, where he was pronounced dead.
