Police Arrest Proud Boys Member In Portland

(Portland, OR)  --  Arraignment is scheduled today for a member of the Proud Boys facing a dozen charges including assault in Portland.  The Portland Police Bureau says officers arrested 50-year-old Alan Swinney yesterday morning.  The arrest came just hours after President Trump told the Proud Boys to "stand back and stand by" during Tuesday night's presidential debate.  Police say Swinney fired a paintball gun and used mace on people during a protest August 15th.  Swinney is also accused of attacking counter-protesters during a pro-Trump rally and aiming a real gun into the crowd on August 22nd.  Swinney is also facing a one-point-two-million-dollar civil suit in connection to the incidents.
