(Portland, OR)  --  The downtown Portland area is looking a little cleaner thanks to the efforts of hundreds of volunteers.  A total of 328 volunteers turned out this week for SOLVE's Downtown Letter Cleanup.  The cleanup held Wednesday was the second one for the month of September.  Volunteers collected 32-hundred pounds of litter from Downtown Portland streets, sidewalks and parks.  The next cleanup event will be held October 30th.
