(Portland, OR) -- Two people are facing charges in connection to Sunday night's riot in Portland. Malik Fard Muhamad of Indiana is accused of using a metal baton to smash windows at the Oregon Historical Society, Portland State University and other businesses. Police say Muhamad was carrying a pistol magazine that matched a gun police found hidden nearby when officers arrested him. Muhamad is charged with riot and unlawful possession of a firearm. Meanwhile, Brandon Bartells is accused of driving a van that was used to pull down the statue of Theodore Roosevelt. Police say he's being charged with riot a and criminal mischief.
