(Portland, OR) -- The man convicted in 2017's deadly MAX stabbing assault is being ordered to pay thousands of dollars to his victims. A Multnomah County judge has signed a restitution order requiring Jeremy Christian to pay more than 12-thousand dollars. Christian was convicted earlier this year of killing two men and injuring a third man on a MAX train at the Hollywood Transit Center in 2017. All three men were stabbed while attempting to stop Christian from verbally assaulting two Black teenagers on the bus with hate speech.
