(Hillsboro, OR) -- The City of Hillsboro announcing a new plan to make electricity from its water system. When water mains get over pressurized a relief valve normally bleeds that pressure. Now, officials say a new system will take that water pressure, run it through a generator and turn it into electricity. It'll generate between 185-thousand-200-thousand kilowatts of electricity a year to power lights and electric vehicle charging stations.
