Man Pleads Not Guilty To Federal Charges Stemming From Portland Protest

(Portland, OR)  --  An Oregon man is facing federal charges after being accused of assaulting a federally deputized police officer during a protest in Portland.  Authorities say 18-year-old Skyler Roy Rider pleaded not guilty to civil disorder and assaulting a federal officer during arraignment yesterday.  Police claim he poked an officer in the chest with the pointed end of an umbrella during demonstrations outside the ICE building on October 6th.
