(Sacramento, CA)  --  Oregon is joining California's initiative to independently review COVID-19 vaccines that are approved by the FDA before making them available statewide.  Speaking with reporters, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that Oregon has joined California's Scientific Safety Review Workgroup along with Washington state and Nevada.  Newsom said that California has been working "collaboratively" with the CDC, and that he doesn't believe the review process will cause distribution delays.
