New Policy Announced Allowing More Visitations To Care Facilities

(Portland, OR)  --  State officials are expanding opportunities for residents to visit loved ones who are staying in long-term care facilities.  The Oregon Department of Human Services announced a new policy yesterday to allow greater access to those facilities as the winter months approach and outdoor visits become difficult.  Only two guests will be allowed to visit one person at the same time.  Those visitors will be required to wear masks, wash their hands and practice social distancing.  They will also undergo a temperature check and answer a questionnaire about possible COVID-19 exposure.
