(Portland, OR) -- Oregon health officials are reporting another record-breaking spike in coronavirus cases. The Oregon Health Authority confirmed 575 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, marking the highest single-day increase in cases the state has seen so far. Officials also confirmed two new deaths from COVID-19, raising the state's death toll to 673. Officials say the recent rise in cases comes as more people begin to interact with each other while failing to follow pandemic-related guidelines like washing hands and staying six feet apart.
