Suspect Accused Of Running Down Cop Escapes

(Portland, OR) -- The search continues for an escaped suspect accused of running down a Portland Police officer with a stolen truck on Christmas Eve, seriously injuring her. Police say 24-year-old David Dahlen escaped from police custody on Saturday shortly after officers tracked him down and arrested him for attempted murder. Dahlen was being held at the Justice Center when police say he escaped from a secure holding cell. Police aren't sure how he got out. He's described as five-feet-eight, 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a green long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
