(Portland, OR) -- A man is facing multiple charges after allegedly firing several rounds from a rifle into neighboring apartment units in Southeast Portland. Police arrested 31-year-old David Yaron on 14 counts of Reckless Endangering and 15 counts of Discharge of a Firearm in the city for the shooting early yesterday morning. Police say Yaron's rifle had a drum magazine capable of holding over 50 rounds attached and loaded and that his rifle was staged in an elevated position toward where police officers were standing outside. Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell says it's not clear what Yaron had planned, "but the possibilities are chilling." No injuries were reported.
