(Stayton, OR) -- A man is under arrest and charged with the murder of a woman in Stayton. Police responded to a suspicious circumstances call Sunday night and found a deceased woman who had been shot. The Medical Examiner will determine how 70-year-old Karen Schaefer was killed. Police say 38-year-old Brian Schaefer is charged with Murder 2. Detectives aren't releasing details about what happened.
