Oregon Expands COVID-19 Vaccinations

(Salem, OR)  --  Governor Kate Brown says COVID-19 vaccinations are being expanded to all Oregonians 65 and older.  The move follows an earlier announcement by the CDC that it's expanding vaccine eligibility to everyone 65 and older.  The federal government is also releasing all vaccines it had in storage.  Brown says the announcement came without warning, so the state is scrambling to put it into effect.  She's urging people to not call their health care provider right away, so they have time to make plans for vaccinations.  Brown added she's more determined than ever to make sure communities of color that have been adversely affected by the virus have access to the vaccine.
