(Portland, OR) -- The Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association is again calling on Governor Kate Brown to ease COVID-19 restrictions for restaurants. The association says the state's leisure and hospitality industry lost more than 28-thousand jobs last month. The association claims there's little risk of people getting the virus in restaurants, but scientific evidence on COVID-19 contradicts that statement. The Oregon Health Authority points out that the airborne virus can spread easily in indoor areas when diners take off their masks to eat.
