(Portland, OR)  --  A major winter storm is expected to hit northwest Oregon and southwest Washington state today.  A winter storm warning is in effect for the Portland-Vancouver area, with two to six inches of snow possible.  A blizzard warning is in effect for the Columbia River Gorge, where wind gusts of up to 70 miles per hour could cause drifting snow.  Freezing rain is possible in parts of the Willamette Valley south of Portland.
