(Portland, OR) -- A state of emergency is in effect for Multnomah and eight other counties because of the weekend's winter storm. Governor Kate Brown declared the state of emergency on Saturday for Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, Benton, Hood River, Linn, Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. The declaration makes more state resources available to the affected areas.
