(Portland, OR)  --  Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty is denying allegations that she was involved in a hit-and-run crash at 148th and East Burnside on Wednesday.  The Portland Police Bureau is backing her up.  Hardesty says the allegations are part of a smear campaign by right wing political groups angered by her work on police reform.  Investigators say Hardesty has been ruled out as a suspect in the crash.
