(Portland, OR) -- A fisherman is dead after drowning in the Willamette River. Police say the man was fishing with his dog in a boat at the Swan Island Lagoon Saturday evening when he and his dog fell overboard. The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office's River Patrol responded to the scene along with Portland Fire and Rescue. First responders found the man dead at the scene. His dog was found on shore and was taken to an animal hospital for evaluation.
