(Portland, OR) -- At least 100 people are joining a pair of lawsuits over last summer's Beachie Creek wildfire. The blaze burned more than 190-thousand acres, killed five people and destroyed several communities. The lawsuits accuse PacificCorps of not maintaining equipment and not turning off the electricity, which could have prevented the fires. The firm representing the plaintiffs was also involved in lawsuits against Pacific Gas and Electric following Northern California's devastating wildfires. The lawsuits seek over one-billion dollars in damages.
