Restaurant Association Calls For Capacity-Based COVID Limits In Restaurants

(Portland, OR) -- Oregon restaurants are claiming Governor Kate Brown's limit on customers and staff amid the ongoing pandemic doesn't make sense. The current guidelines say restaurants in extreme risk counties can only have 50 customers and employees outside. Restaurants in high risk counties can have 50 people indoors and 75 people outdoors. The Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association says the policy doesn't make sense for restaurants that have enough room for social distancing. They're asking the governor to change the policy so it's based on a percentage of restaurant capacity instead.
