Union Workers Seek Some Funds From Rescue Plan

(Portland, OR) -- Union workers in Oregon want some of the state's share of funds from President Biden's American Rescue Plan. Oregon union workers issued the request yesterday, saying most essential union workers, including farm workers and caregivers, make less than 15 dollars an hour. Yet, they have risked their own health and well-being to mask up and keep Oregon going during the pandemic. They're asking lawmakers to consider a program to pay those workers a one-time check of between one-thousand and two-thousand dollars as hero pay.
