(Portland, OR) -- A David Douglas School Board candidate is speaking out after becoming the target of an anti-Asian racial slur. Hoa Nguyen says someone left a note on her door two weeks ago saying "kung flu." She reported the note to the Oregon Department of Justice as well as the Portland Police Bureau and Portland United Against Hate. The Portland Police Bureau says the note is not a hate crime in and of itself, but they encourage anyone who experiences similar incidents to report it.
