OR House Passes Bill Banning Hate Symbols In Schools

(Salem, OR) -- Symbols of hate would be banned from display in schools under a bill that passed the Oregon House on Saturday. The bill would prohibit nooses, neo-Nazi symbols and the Confederate flag. The bill also requires schools to adopt a policy to address bias incidents. The bill passed unanimously and now moves to the Senate.
