Firefighters Tangle With African Cat During House Fire

(Felida, WA)  --  Clark County firefighters had to deal with a 60-pound African Serval cat while battling a house fire in Felida.  Fire officials say crews arrived at the house yesterday to find the homeowner trying to put out the fire in the back of his house.  The African cat was inside of the home and bit one of the firefighters' fingers.  Crews extinguished the fire and kept the cat inside until animal control arrived to help contain the animal.  Officials say the cat appeared to be unharmed.  An investigation into what caused the fire is ongoing.
