Police Arrest Two During Demonstrations Over Chauvin Verdict

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Police Bureau says officers arrested at least two people last night during demonstrations in response to yesterday's conviction of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in the murder of George Floyd last spring.  Police say one person was arrested after allegedly punching an officer.  The Oregonian reports video of the incident shows multiple police officers respond to the punch by piling on the suspect, with one officer throwing repeated punches.  Police say demonstrators also broke multiple windows.  Police declared an unlawful assembly around 10 p.m.
