(Portland, OR)  --  The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office is prioritizing cases of property damage and violence during demonstrations in Portland.  District Attorney Mike Schmidt says in a statement released yesterday that the violence and property destruction witnessed in the city over the last year is "unacceptable" and that it doesn't align with Portland's community values.  Schmidt says his office is continuing to "prioritize the prosecution of people who are destroying property and committing violence."
