OR Resumes Use Of J&J COVID Vaccine

(Portland, OR)  --  Oregon is resuming use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.  The Oregon Health Authority made the announcement Saturday after the Western States Scientific Safety Review work group deemed the vaccine to be safe and effective.  The FDA and the CDC both issued statements Friday calling for a resumption in the administration of the vaccine following an eleven-day pause.  The agencies recommended the temporary pause after some women who received it developed blood clots.
