Biden Taps OSU Professor For NOAA Head

(Portland, OR)  --  President Biden is tapping an Oregon State University professor to head up the nation's leading agency for weather, climate and ocean science.  Biden is nominating Rick Spinrad to become the head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.  The choice still must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.  Spinrad previously served as the agency's chief scientist under President Obama.
