(Portland, OR) -- Researchers at Oregon Health and Science University have, for the first time, detailed the inner ear at near atomic details. It shows how the mechanism of hearing works. They started their research on roundworms, which have a system similar to humans. The findings could point the way toward developing new treatments for people with hearing impairments.
