Portland Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for the murder of southeast Portland's Yashanee Vaughn. Detectives have Parrish Bennette, 16, in custody, but they're still looking for Yashanee Vaughn's body. She is 14 years old. Portland Police Chief Mike Reese: “Preliminary evidence suggests that Yashanee was killed on March 19^th, two days prior to her being reported missing.” Her mother filed the missing persons report March 21st. Detectives were assigned to the case on the 23^rd; and detectives received their first solid lead March 27th. Commander Ed Blumfield described Bennette and Vaughn as associates but wouldn't go into detail.
