(Portland, OR) -- No injuries are reported after a large avalanche struck the south side of Mt. Hood. KATU-2 reports the upper crater avalanche happened above the west crater rim sometime within the last few days. The avalanche sent debris down past Illumination Saddle. Officials say the slide was triggered naturally.
