(West Linn, OR) -- A new survey shows how much voters in the Portland area are opposed to tolling on I-5 and I-205. Seventy-six percent of voters oppose tolling. Seventy-one percent oppose ODOT's Regional Mobility Pricing Project which has the goal of reducing congestion. They support increasing registrations on electric vehicles and about a third support higher gas taxes to raise money for road projects. About a quarter of voters support a pay-per-mile system. The Oregon Legislature approved using tolls on I-5 and I-205. They're set to start on I-205 in 2026. The survey was funded by the cities of West Linn, Tualatin, Oregon City and Wilsonville.
