(Portland, OR) -- Portland Police made more arrests during their latest stolen car mission. Portland officers worked with Gresham, Port of Portland and Multnomah County Sheriff's deputies to focus on East Portland. They also used the Facebook group PDX Stolen Cars. For every traffic stop they recovered one stolen car. They made 41 stops, recovered seven stolen vehicles, arrested 15 people and seized seven illegal guns. Three vehicles were towed and four drivers eluded police. The missions appear to be working. The number of stolen vehicles has been nearly cut in half.
