(Eugene, OR) -- Oregon's seven public universities and the Service Employees International Union have reached agreement on a new contract. It gives workers a 15 percent pay increase over the next three years. They get a one-time compensation payment of 15-hundred dollars in April. Veterans' Day will become an official holiday at all universities. Workers will have fewer restrictions on a "special day" off from work and expanded sick leave will align with Oregon's law. The contract still needs union approval.
