>>Woman Facing Charges Following Fatal Crash

(Gresham, OR)  --  A woman is facing charges following a crash that killed her friend, 73-year-old Peggy Jennen, Wednesday night in Gresham.  Police say 52-year-old Lisa Wilson was making a turn onto Bella Vista Place from Northwest Division Street when Jennen, who was a passenger, was ejected from the vehicle.  An oncoming vehicle then struck Jennen, who died at the scene.  Wilson was arrested on charges of criminally negligent homicide, drunken driving, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.     

>>About 25,000 Soon To Lose Unemployment Benefits In WA

(Olympia, WA)  --  State officials say about 25-thousand people in Washington who are out of work will have their unemployment benefits cut off when the federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation program ends on December 28th.  Up to 63 weeks of unemployment benefits, including 37 weeks of emergency benefits, are currently available in Washington.  After the 28th, only 26 weeks of regular benefits will be available.  Congress has extended emergency unemployment benefits eleven times over the past five years, but there's no current indication another extension will be granted.

>>Mega Millions Jackpot $400 Million

(Salem, OR)  --  Tonight's drawing for the Mega Millions jackpot is worth an estimated 400-million dollars, and ticket sales are certain to push that amount higher.  Lottery officials say it's the second-largest Mega Millions grand prize in history.  The jackpot has rolled over 20 times since October first without a winner.  The game was revamped in October to lower the odds of winning and increase jackpot rollovers.

>>Fuel Prices Lower

(Portland, OR)  --  Triple-A is reporting lower gas prices in the Portland area.  Regular averages just under three-28 a gallon, down about a half-cent from yesterday.  It's still a half-cent above the average of a week ago.

>>Blazers Zoom Past Rockets, 111-104

(Portland, OR)  --  The Portland Trail Blazers have the NBA's second-best record following their 111-104 victory over Houston at the Moda Center.  LaMarcus Aldridge scored 31 points and grabbed 25 rebounds to lead the Blazers.  Wesley Matthews added 18 points for Portland, while Robin Lopez scored 16 points and collected ten rebounds.  The Blazers will visit the Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow evening.
