(Portland, OR) -- Officials say a ten-year-old Portland boy who was seriously injured in a fall while hiking at Silver Falls State Park is now listed in good condition. Wilson Pelot leaned against a loose railing and fell about 50 feet down an embankment and into a shallow creek while hiking with his family Sunday. The Llewellyn Elementary School fourth-grader is recovering at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. A spokesman for Oregon State Parks says more prominent signage will be installed at the park to warn hikers of dangerous spots that need to be repaired.
