(Portland, OR)  --  A Portland family is deciding what to do with a pet cat that became hostile and attacked a baby.  The father called 9-1-1 Sunday night and told the dispatcher that the cat "went over the edge" and scratched the child, and hissed and charged at them every time they opened the door of the bedroom in which they were hiding.  Portland police say the 9-1-1 dispatcher stayed on the phone with the caller to ensure the family remained safe as the cat screeched in the background.  Police officers who responded had to use a dog snare to subdue and capture the 22-pound feline.
