(Portland, OR)  --  A 28-year-old man is under indictment in connection with the death of his girlfriend's two-year-old son.  Police say the toddler was found unconscious in a room at a Northeast Portland motel on March 4th.  The boy reportedly had injuries considered suspicious and died in a hospital on March 6th.  Joshua Howard is charged with murder by abuse and first-degree criminal mistreatment.
