Multnomah CO Commissioners Propose Reducing County's Share of Moda Center Renovation

(Portland, OR) -- Two members of the Multnomah County Commission are proposing reducing the county's share of the renovations to the Moda Center. They say they can't support such financing knowing that reciprocal cuts would have to be made to critical services. County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson has recommended committing 100-million dollars to the project -- an amount the two commissioners want to cut by 35-million. Commissioners Julia Brim-Edwards and Meghan Moyer plan to introduce an amendment ahead of tomorrow's expected vote on the renovation plan.
