(Portland, OR) -- It may not be news for anyone who has been outside lately but an air quality alert has been issued for the Portland area until tonight at eight o-clock. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality advisory for several Oregon counties due to the smoke from wildfires that are burning across the state. Experts say the worst of the air quality remains east of the Cascades.
