(Multnomah County, OR) -- Multnomah County is responding as temperatures approach triple digits. The county says more than 80 cooling spaces are available for people trying to escape the heat and smoky air. That includes the Bud Clark Commons cooling center in Old Town, which allows people to bring pets. TriMet is offering free rides to people traveling to cooling locations.
