Portland Participatory Budget Measure Heads To Ballot
(Portland, OR) - Portland voters will decide whether residents should help determine how part of the city's budget is spent. A citizen initiative received enough signatures to qualify for the November ballot. If approved, residents would decide how to spend 2-percent of the city's annual budget. Supporters with a group called "Your 2 Cents" estimate this would amount to more than 16-million dollars beginning in the 2028 to 2029 fiscal year.
