(Salem, OR) -- Governor Tina Kotek declared five new wildfire conflagrations over the weekend. The Second Flat Fire is burning in Harney County northeast of Riley, the Bench and Beachcomb Fires are in Jefferson County, the Shingle Fire is southwest of the John Day Fossil Beds, and the Marks Creek area of the Crosswhite West Fire is in Crook and Jefferson counties. There are 36 large fires burning in Oregon.
