Portland Council Restores Some Budget Cuts
(Portland, OR) -- Portland City Council has approved an ordinance that will restore some of the cuts made under the original budget. The so-called "Risk Reduction Rescue Plan" will restore 30 positions. They include eight Portland Police Public Safety Support Specialists and six vehicles, police training, precinct desk clerks and three two-person Portland Fire rescue units. The money comes from a contingency fund and the Business License Tax Reserve Fund.
