(Salem, OR) -- An initiative petition that would have banned hunting and raising livestock will miss Oregon's November General election. Organizers of IP-28 didn't collect enough signatures. Governor Tina Kotek said she's relieved, because efforts to ban hunting and fishing are wrong for Oregon. She says it's a win for farmers, ranchers, and Oregonians who care about protecting lands and wildlife. Oregon State Senator David Brock-Smith said failure of the measure is a win for sportsmen and women, along with farmers, ranchers and outdoors enthusiast.
